Technique 1.199 Determine Your Personality Traits (expanded version)

Introduction

Based on the 5 fundamental traits:

  1. Openness (the degree to which a person is imaginative, curious, open to new experiences, and willing to engage with novel ideas, feelings, and values.)
  2. Conscientiousness (the extent to which a person is organized, dependable, disciplined, and goal-oriented, showing a preference for planned rather than spontaneous behaviour.)
  3. Extraversion (the level of sociability, assertiveness, and enthusiasm a person displays, particularly in social situations and when seeking stimulation.)
  4. Agreeableness (reflects an individual’s tendency to be compassionate, kindness, cooperative, trusting, and eager to maintain social harmony.)
  5. Neuroticism (the degree to which a person experiences negative emotions like anxiety, anger, or depression; lack of their general emotional stability and resilience.)

NB Each trait exists on a continuum, with individuals exhibiting varying degrees of each.

These traits are considered universal and biologically rooted, shaped by both genetics and environment, and generally stable throughout adulthood.
