Introduction

Some questions to determine your readiness for change.

Answer by circling ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

Questions

  1. Is there a critical mass of executives who have embraced a change mindset? Yes/No

  2. Is the rationale for change clearly aligned with the company strategy? Yes/No

  3. Do the majority of middle managers know how change will benefit them personally? Yes/No

  4. Have you got the structure that will support the change? Yes/No

  5. Does the organisational culture reflect values that are compatible with the change initiative? Yes/No

  6. Has each functional area identified a target state that represents the change and is of value to them? Yes/No

  7. Do you have sufficient specialists with deep expertise to guide and coach your leaders and managers through the change? Yes/No

  8. Have you aligned the future performance framework with the behaviours that support the change? Yes/No

  9. Have you identified metrics that make sense to people and are achievable in making the change? Yes/No

  10. Have you built a sufficient level of baseline change capability to absorb the changes that will come along with this program? Yes/No

  11. Have you got the collaborative tools that will enable the conversations that come about during the transformation? Yes/No

  12. Have you got the feedback loops in the organisational system that will give you data on your progress? Yes/No

The more ‘Yes’ answers, the higher your readiness for change; ‘No’ answers indicate areas that need improvement.
