Generally narcissist are 'full of themselves', ie they have an

The extreme cases have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD)

It is possible to have narcissistic tendencies and traits, but not NPD.
Narcissistic tendencies
"...- exhibit one or a few traits (eg believe others should admire them)
- behaviour come and go, or only present in some situations ( e.g. only at work or school)
- life and relationships not effective in a major, negative way; traits may even give an advantage (eg help them succeeded at work)
- may be developmentally normal in childhood and teen years
- can recognise trades is negative and be open to changing them
- has/develop self-awareness and insight
- can be empathetic but may not be at times..."

It is thought that narcissistic traits are associated with the likelihood of violent crime.
Generally narcissism exist on a spectrum with different levels of narcissistic behaviour.
