Transitional vs Transformational Change (cont.)

Often change and transformation are 2 uniquely distinct items that are generally thought to be the same. Considering a caterpillar as an example: when it turns into a cocoon and then into a butterfly, the change is irreversible as it becomes something new. This is transformation.

The below diagram highlights the difference between transformation and transition, ie blue colour blocks are the elements of transformation; while the red coloured blocks are those of transition.
