Some myths include

1. Silos are bad (however, if strategically set up for specific reasons, they can do a lot of good, ie can work for you rather than against you)
2. In-house change vs external consultants (as the change processes undertaken are very similar, there should be no significant advantage of using one or the other, except that an in-house personwill have a better understanding of how the organisation currently works, while the outsider will look at things with 'new eyes' and could take a while to settle in)
3. Change maturity (should refer to organisational maturity rather than just change management; need to grow change management capabilities in the organisation; need to be looking outwards, ie understanding what is going on in the outside world; don't get lost in the world of activities; understand why you are there, ie purpose)
4. Project-outcome based (should be broadened to organisational outcomes rather than just project management; needs fit-for-purpose)
5. Separate people from process, technology and data (however, people are integrated with process, technology and data; need to understand the formal and informal organisational infrastructure; need a holistic approach)
6. Focus on employees or customers (need to focus on all relevant stakeholders)
NB Be willing to challenge, question, etc the status quo thinking around change management.
