Some Ways to Minimise Employee's Resistance to Change (6)
i) align the strategies (collect the appropriate data so that employees have a complete understanding of the organisation's situation and are able to align strategies)
ii) prioritise (ideally start small and gradually scale up so that stakeholders are not overwhelmed; this also limits change fatigue)
iii) focus on training and support (provide support and training to help employees overcome the barriers to change)
iv) follow a framework (select an appropriate framework, or develop a hybrid, that suits to your current situation
NB Remember what worked in the past is not guarantee to work now or future.)
(for more detail, see elsewhere in the Knowledge Base)
v) develop a communication plan (need to fully describe the process, essential milestones, and procedures to achieving effective change
"...The more details you share with the team, the more positive a response you can expect to get from the team..."
Nathan Altadonna, 2023)
vi) know what your strategic direction is (be clear about what your objectives are - including timelines, how the team will adapt to the change, etc)
