Emotional Intelligence Quotient Score (EQ)

This element assesses behavioural factors reflect in your EQ, ie the way a person reacts in different situations, such as

- stressful or frustrating situations

- failure or disappointing situations

- positions of leadership

- how an individual manages the emotions of people of differing ages

- how a person deals with diversity and cultural sensitivities, etc.

NB EQ is different to IQ. IQ is about cognitive capability, ie capacity to reason and think, ability to learn, etc. IQ tends to be fixed while EQ (emotional capabilities, etc) is more flexible as it can be learned and/or acquired; it can improve with practice.

EI is the stronger predictor of performance, ie
"...EI explains 58% of success in all job types..."
T.R Bradbury as quoted by Heather Craig, 2019
