Positivity
Introduction
Your brain's natural default position is more negativity than positivity, ie it focuses on what can go wrong, etc. Thus, you need to develop ways to improve your positivity and reduce negativity by
i) practising self-care (stay away from situations, including people, that/who
- threaten your peace of mind, values, morals, self-worth, etc
- make you feel unappreciated or disrespected, etc
- give you negative vibes or unhealthy energy, etc
NB Need to respectfully honour your feelings and boundaries)
ii) trust the journey of your life (go with the positive 'flow' and reject the negative
"... You will gradually outgrow what you thought you couldn't live without, and fall in love with what even know you didn't want..."
Wayne Mansfield, 2022a
iii) remain mentally, emotionally and physically centred (therefore able to handle uncertainty, volatility, hard realities, chaos, challenges, ambiguity, etc they can come your way)
iv) rewire your brain by looking at the bright side (work on developing positive habits; remember it takes time to develop a new habit, ie
"...it takes roughly 66 days to form a new habit..."
Wayne Mansfield, 2022a
v) focus on areas over which you have control (events, etc outside your control are left to somebody else)
Summary
"...despite the real world challenges you face, the biggest and most complex obstacle you will have to personally overcome on a daily basis is your own mind and reactions...'
Wayne Mansfield, 2022a
