Introduction

A structured assessment to measure how ready an organisation is to execute change using Scrum principles.

Instructions: Rate each statement 1–5, where:
1 = Not true
2 = Slightly true
3 = Moderately true
4 = Mostly true
5 = Fully true

Scoring Statements

A. Leadership Readiness (Product Owner & Sponsorship)

3.4 Work can be broken into 1–4-week increments.

 

3.5 The organisation is comfortable with inspection and adaptation.

Scoring Guide

Total Score = ____ / 125

100–125 = Highly Ready

You can run Scrum-based change effectively. Strong foundation for iterative change and rapid benefits realisation.

80–99 = Moderately Ready

Good environment, but some gaps could slow progress. Strengthen leadership availability, team capacity, or cultural readiness.

60–79 = Low–Moderate Readiness

Scrum will be challenging without preparation.
Address major gaps in roles, mindset, and stakeholder engagement first.

< 60 = Not Ready

Traditional change methods may currently work better.
Focus on building agile capability, leadership alignment and team structure before using Scrum.
