Meaningful Feedback

Introduction

In addition to being  able to connect to purpose and enjoying your role, meaningful feedback is important as a way of creating engagement.

"... 80% of people globally say that when they receive 'meaningful feedback' on a weekly basis. It lifted a sense of engagement by 80%..."
Georgia Murch. 2024b

Meaningful feedback involves

- recognition or appreciation work done recently, ie now not last month

- helping staff to manage interpersonal conflict, ie

"...One of the most challenging and special components of work is how we connect with others. Your people need support and help in the space..."
Georgia Murch. 2024b

- current goals and priorities, ie staff want help in understanding and implementing tasks around current goals and priorities

- forms the basis for training and development (personal and professional)
