Technique 5.5 Some Questions on Relationships

Look beyond the terms of tasks, functions, span of control and hierarchies to more fundamental issues and ask the following questions:

1. Do people know how to listen and speak to each other?

2. Do people have free access to one another throughout the organisation?

3. Are they trusted with information?

4. Do organisational values bring them together or keep them apart?

5. Is collaboration truly honoured?

6. Can people speak truthfully to one another?
